On October 24, 2024, we were honoured to participate in the “Digital Accommodation Management and Marketing Strategies” conference co-organized with Stayhere.ro, in partnership with Visit Covasna and the Transylvania Tourism Destination Management Cluster and was hosted by Startup HUB, a local Business Development, Adult Education and Vocational Training Center.
Many local hoteliers attended this conference, which resulted in a lively atmosphere, with a lot of industry insights to discover. The event was opened by Endre László, president of the Transylvania Tourism Destination Management Cluster, who talked about the need to modernise the hospitality industry, and introduce hotel technology like channel managers and PMS systems for more efficient operation.

Following this, Róbert Grüman, head of Stayhere.ro welcomed participants and shared: “Stayhere.ro is an innovative startup operating within the StartUp HUB business development center, offering simple online booking solutions. It aims to support the promotion of Romanian tourist destinations, making accommodations more accessible to travellers while implementing modern technological solutions in tourism.”

Then, Dávid Máté, our Head of Partnerships gave a presentation about how the Sabeeapp all-in-one hotel software supports hoteliers throughout every step of hotel operation, and how hotel automation is the future of hospitality. Among others, he stated: “SabeeApp’s automated solutions make day-to-day hotel operations seamless and efficient, ultimately positively impacting the guest experience. Processes like online booking, payment, guest communication, check-in, and even room cleaning assignments can be automated, saving significant time for staff.”
During Dávid’s presentation, he mentioned that developing the eFactura integration is in progress, which will enable accommodations in Romania to comply with the requirements of the local tax authority. This development, which automatically forwards invoices to the ANAF database, is currently in the testing phase and will soon be available for customers as well.
This conference was not only a great opportunity to discuss the future of hospitality in the region, but also to connect with the local experts, and learn their business needs.
We gained a lot of insights and ideas on this trip which we’ll use to improve the SabeeApp experience in order to make life easier for our local accommodation partners.
