Airbnb - solution for missing email addresses

Since mid 2021 Airbnb has decided not to generate automatically the alias (guestname@guest.airbnb.com) email addresses as most of the hosts were not using them as they did all the communication with guests from the Airbnb extranet.

If you were using channel manager and you property was affected by this decision you could notice that these email addresses did not arrive to your SabeeApp account therefore the automatic emails could not be sent out to guests so they are not informed about the most important things. Good news is that you have the option to turn back on this feature.

If you experience that for you Airbnb reservations there is no email address synchronised from the channel manager please follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Airbnb account. If you are managing multiple accounts, please select the one where you noticed the issue.

2. Click on the top right corner's Profile icon and then select Account from the list.

3. Here choose Professional hosting tools. You can also access this menu by clicking on here.

4. The only thing you have to do here is to turn on the slider which is inactive.

After this Airbnb will generate the alias email addresses and send them to SabeeApp via the channel manager. For previous reservations which arrived without email address the email will not be generated and sent to SabeeApp automatically. You will have to message the guest and ask for their contact details.
