Automatic VCC Charging with SabeePay
This feature aims to streamline your operations by automating the charging process for Virtual Credit Cards (VCCs), saving you time and effort.
Activation and Setup
To activate Automatic VCC Charging, navigate to Settings / SabeePay Settings in your account. Once activated, you'll receive a confirmation message.
We advise you to activate the 'VCC charge notifications' feature at the same time, in order to receive notifications about successful and also unsuccesful VCC charges to your notifical e-mail address (Settings / General Settings / Other Settings).
Notifications are sent to your notification e-mail address if 'VCC charge notifications' are enabled in your SabeePay Settings.
Log entries are created for successful charges (Reservation page / Activity tab) and the Payment schedule section is updated accordingly.
1. Already Present Booking VCC Becomes Chargeable: Once Automatic VCC Charging is enabled, SabeePay checks once a day at midnight for chargeable VCCs from existing bookings and processes charges automatically.
Notifications are sent for successful charges and logs are updated.
2. Manual VCC Charging: Even with Automatic VCC Charging enabled, you retain the option for manual charging using the 'Charge now' button on the reservation page.
The 'Bulk charge' (PMS / VCC charge) function remains accessible for batch processing.
Notifications:
Notifications are sent for both successful and unsuccessful VCC charges based on your notification settings.
Detailed notifications include booking details and charged amounts for successful transactions.
In case of unsuccessful charges, notifications include reasons for the failure, enabling quick resolution.
Disabling:
Should you need to disable Automatic VCC Charging, a warning message will prompt you for confirmation.
Upon confirmation, the function is turned off and associated notification settings are disabled.
Impacts:
The introduction of Automatic VCC Charging enhances operational efficiency and reduces manual workload.
Notifications provide visibility into charging processes, aiding in issue resolution and ensuring seamless payment handling.
