Corporate rate plans are a mixture between rate plan and a coupon. Basically it is a rate plan which you create for one dedicated company (corporation) and then you give the code for this company so they can make a reservation in your booking engine with the prices that were agreed.
This practise is mostly used when you have deals with particular travel agencies or partners. Because usually you have pre-agreed prices with them and those prices does not depend on your Master or other rates.
How to create a Corporate rate plan?
Before actually creating a rate plan, you need to make sure, that company, to which you are creating this rate plan, is already create at your companies list (PMS / Companies).
Go to your Prices menu and select to create a new rate plan.
As with any other rate plan, you can decide if it should be linked to the Master prices or not. Most of the times, Corporate rate plan will NOT be linked to Master prices and will have its separate pricing. That will be the choice that we will discuss in this example.
When rate plan is created, click Edit settings button and let's get through the possible options:
1 - 2 - 3 Steps are not requiring any action from you as it is the information displayed based on the settings.
4 - this slider should be pushed to the active (green) position, as the Corporate rate plan for sure will be used in the booking engine.
5 - You must select category Corporate in this step.
6 - Define, what will be the code, that your partner will need to enter when making a reservation on your booking engine.
7 - Mark to which company this rate plan will belong.
8 - 9 Select what cancellation and payment policies apply to this rate plan.
10 - You can select if you would like to link min nights restrictions to Master prices or you rather have different settings for this rate plan.
11 - 12 These should not be used for channel purposes as Corporate rate plan can be applied ONLY at your booking engine or when uploading reservation manually.
When you set the basics of the rate plan, you can go ahead and upload a prices, min. night restrictions and all the other settings as if you would be updating Master prices.
How Corporate plan looks at the Booking engine?
Once your partner comes to your booking engine, they will see it as any other IBE visitor. Prices will be displayed based on your pricing policy.
So in order to get their special deal prices, they need to enter the Corporate rate plan code, which you created and shared with your partners
When code is applied, whole page will refresh and your partners will see only those rates, which belongs to their Corporate rate plan!
Manual reservation upload with the Corporate rate plan
You can also create a reservation manually to which you apply this type of the rate plan. Might be that company booked not via booking engine but rather sent an e-mail with the booking request.
Then you proceed as if you would be uploading any manual reservation, just at the Rate plan section choose the corporate plan which applies for this particular company/reservation.
