Thanks to a new API development, from now on, the following updates can be synchronised from SabeeApp to Expedia, broadening the already existing connection:
- No-show status and penalty amount
- Cancellation status and penalty amount
- Arrival / Departure date changes
- Room price changes
These applied modifications can be synchronised to Expedia if the following conditions are met:
- The arrival date of the reservation is the current date or in the past.
- The reservation has already been checked-in.
- Reconciliation can be performed on Hotel Collect reservations for independently managed properties operating under the Hotel Collect or Expedia Traveler Preference business model.
No-show / Cancellation
If the status of a Hotel Collect reservation is set to No-show / Cancelled on the detailed page of the reservation, the information is updated in the channel’s extranet as well.
The penalty fee can be adjusted after hitting the 'Ok' button of the first pop-up window. The cancellation fee or no-show fee cannot be more than the initial booking amount. Should the adjusted amount be higher than that, a warning message will appear. As a last step, a confirmation will be needed, that the No-show / Cancellation should be reported to the channel.
As soon as the update goes through successfully, it appears in the reservation change history (Activity tab) as follows:
'Sabeeapp system: Change synced successfully to Expedia!'
When a reservation is cancelled and this information is synchronised to the channel, there is no possibility to reconcile it a second time. Even though its status can be set to Active again in SabeeApp, this step has to be redone directly in Expedia Partner Central. A warning message will signal it as well:
’Expedia allows only one cancellation synchronization per reservation. Since this reservation has already been cancelled once, this action will not be synchronized to the Expedia extranet.’
Arrival / Departure date changes
When manually updating the arrival/departure date of a Hotel Collect reservation, a confirmation will be needed, that the update should be sent to the channel.
It is important to note, that up to 3 days can be added before the original check-in date or up to 3 days after the original check-out date.
Reservations can be reconciled up to three times when modifying a reservation.
As soon as the update goes through successfully, it appears in reservation change history (Activity tab) as follows:

Room price changes
When manually updating the room price of a Hotel Collect reservation (For example due to additional guests or room type change), a confirmation will be needed, that the update should be sent to the channel.
Amounts for dates included in the original reservation cannot be modified to a value of three times above the actual amounts applicable to that date (for additional dates, there is no limit).
Reservations can be reconciled up to three times when modifying a reservation.
As soon as the update goes through successfully, it appears in reservation change history (Activity tab) as follows:
'Sabeeapp system: Change synced successfully to Expedia!'
Reservations can be reconciled from the check-in date until the fourth day of the month after the checkout date (until 11:59 PM - property local time, you cannot reconcile future reservations). For example, if the checkout is on May 15, partners have until June 4th to inform Expedia about the cancellation.
