Aim of the report:
This report helps inform marketing decisions by analysing guest source markets. The report displays a full-size map and detailed table.
The map provides a quick visual overview of main source markets (highlighted in blue), while the table breaks down data by country.
Content:
The report analyses reservation details using booker data and revenue data from Folio items, excluding payments and invoices.
The report uses booker information as the primary data source rather than additional guest information.
Reservation statuses included in the report: Confirmed, Canceled, Option, No-show
The system displays all these reservation types by default. You can use the "Status" filter to customise which types appear in your results.
For example, if you select only "confirmed" status, the table will show metrics like reservation count and night count for confirmed bookings only.
Room type statuses included in the report: Room
Note: The report only includes reservations for room-type accommodations. Reservations for Garage, Technical, or Conference room categories are excluded.
Additional filtering options:
Datepicker: Choose from quarterly and yearly preset ranges, or select a custom date range. For yearly views, the earliestavailable year is your account creation year.
Checkin/Checkout/Nightly:
The key difference between the Nightly filter and the Check-in/Check-out filter lies in how reservations are counted and displayed in the report.
1. Nightly Filter
- Focuses on individual nights within the selected date range.
- It counts room nights and guest nights for each night that falls within the chosen period.
- Example:
- If you select June 30, the report shows only the stays that include that specific night, even if the reservation spans multiple nights.
2. Check-in/Check-out Filter
- Focuses on entire reservations based on check-in or check-out dates.
- Instead of breaking down stays by individual nights, it includes the entire booking period if the check-in or check-out date matches the selected date.
- Example:
- If you select Check-in: June 15, the report will show all reservations where guests arrived on June 15, even if they stayed for multiple nights (e.g., June 15–21).
Main Difference in Data Calculation
Filter Type | What It Counts | Example Selection | What It Shows |
---|---|---|---|
Nightly | Individual room/guest nights | June 30 | Only reservations that include the night of June 30 |
Check-in / Check-out | Entire reservation stays | June 15 (Check-in) | All reservations that started on June 15, showing their full duration |
Important information about the table in the report:
Country — The booker's assigned country. Reservations without country data are labeled as "Unknown."
Number of bookings — Total reservations from each country during the selected period
Number of guests — Total guests from each country during the selected period
Total number of nights — Room nights generated by each country during the selected period
Total number of guest nights — Guest nights generated by each country during the selected period
ALOS — Average Length of Stay, calculated as: total room nights ÷ number of bookings
Average NET accommodation revenue — Basedon NET "accommodation fee" Folio items. Formula: Total NET accommodation revenue ÷ number of guests ÷ number of bookings
Example: For 2 reservations from Algeria with 82 EUR NET total accommodation fees and 4 total guests, the calculation would be: 82 ÷ 4 ÷ 2 = 10.25 EUR
Average NET services revenue — Calculated from all services and service fees in the Folio table
Example: For 2 reservations from Algeria with 2 total guests (1 per reservation), if one reservation has 10 EUR NET in services and the other has 20 EUR NET, the calculation would be: (10 + 20) ÷ 2 ÷ 2 = 7.5 EUR
