      Group communication tool

      The group communication tool can be opened from the group rservation page's tools section. Click on the button with the envelop icon to open it.

      Tool description

      The tool in its appearence is very similar to the one on the individul reservation page. It has a Send message button and a Sent messages button.

      However it does not show scheduled messages as in its current version automated group emails are not supported.

      Please not that you can send out emails only. No SMS and Push notifications are supported currently.

      Send new message

      It is possible to send out two types of emails from the group communication tool. Confirmation template (the same which is sent out from the IBE to group bookings) and a custom email which you have to type in manually.

      Please bear in mind that smart variables (like /%firstname%/) are not yet supported.

      Confirmation template

      It is important that in the message content section, only the Usefull information part will show fot you in the software. However the guest will receive a fully formatted email.

      Custom email

      Please feel free to use a custom content for this email without variables.

      It is also important that if a group contains reservations with mixed statuses, we will proceed as follows:

      • Canceled and no-show reservations will not be displayed.
      • If there are both confirmed and optional status member reservations, the group as a whole will be considered confirmed. However, in the detailed breakdown, the status of each member reservation will be shown.

      Sent messages

      If the group has a single booker person, then sent emails will appear only once under this section.

      Ift the group is put together by reservations with multiple bookers, then each booker will get the communication once, regardless of how many reservations they have in the group. In case of the confrimation template, the template will contain information for the relevant amount of guests.

      As an example if John has 4 reservations in the group and Jane 2, then Jhon will receive the confirmation for his 4 member reservations while Jane for her 2.
