GuestAdvisor 2.0 updates
GuestAdvisor 2.0 is a new version of the GuestAdvisor mobile application which besides many minor updates contains two important changes to the app:
1. Improved logic to log in to a reservation
2. Invite others functionality to share access to a reservation
Improved logic to log in to a reservation
The previously used reservation code is now replaced with an invitation code which can be used to log in to the reservation for the first time.
After that, the invitation code expires and the guest can log in to the reservation (if needed) with their provided email address. This will enroll them in a secure login process using One-time passcode which is sent to their email address.
Those who received the reservation code and downloaded the previous version of GuestAdvisor can still use it as before.
If they download GAT 2.0 in the meantime, they can still log in with the reservation code (no need for invitation code generation) for the first time. We are asking for their email address and if needed, they can log in with the email address afterward.
Guest invitation
After the online check-in is completed and there are at least two guests for the reservation then the person initially loged in to the reservation (so called reservation admin) can invite his/her companions to manage the reservation allowing them share room access and service booking.
The invitation icon is appearing at the top part of the screen with a lightblue label explaining its functions.
After that on the invitation screen all the checked-in guests appear.
By tapping on the grey card, the guest can be invited by two ways.
Invitation by QR code: Download the GuestAdvisor application, select QR code login and simply just scan the qr code with the invited guest's device.
Invitation by email: The guest has to add the email address of the companion and the invitation email is sent out to them containing the GuestAdvisor application's download link and the invitation code.
