How to activate KeyBox Support feature for GuestAdvisor

Welcome to GuestAdvisor's Keybox support feature! Making check-ins smoother and hassle-free, this tool ensures your guests access their accommodations seamlessly. Here's a simple guide to get you started.

Activation steps

To activate the Keybox support feature please head to the GuestAdvisor Tools menu and find the Settings.

Here, simply just toggle the switch for the Key box support and activate it to enable this feature. This is as simple as that.

Important: You can activate the Keybox support unless you use any other smart lock providers.

Setting Up Key Box Codes

You can set up the keybox instructions plus the initial codes from the Settings / My Rooms menu. Go to the menu and then click on the room where you would like to activate the feature.

First activate the toogle.

After that two fields will appear.

1. Keybox code: Please enter the key box code here. The code can be 3 to 10 digit numbers as well as the #symbol.

2. Keybox information: you can specify any information to help the guests identify the correct key box which they can open . They will get this information via GuestAdvisor or by email.

After that you are ready, you can specify the information and codes for the further rooms, apartments.

Keybox Information email

We have added a new email template to your account. Please check it from the Settings / Email templates / GAT templates menu. You can edit the content of the email and decide when this will be sent out to guests. It can be from the arrival date up to 5 days before arrival.

Reservation-specific Codes

You can manage codes for each reservation separately. By default our system will use the initial room access code or the code you used for the previous reservation.


You can also disable the access to the code in GuestAdvisor app in case you would like to make the code unavailable for some reason in the app. Please note that this will not affect the keybox code email schedule.
