ID scan import into the PMS
Thanks to our partnership with Regula, we have integrated a seamless web processing feature into our PMS. This allows you to effortlessly import identity documents sent by guests via email as photos.
Important! This feature is only available with Smart Solutions subscription.
During the process we do not store nor save the files you upload. We use OCR technology to read the characters from it. This technology is provided by our ID scan partner, Regula.
How to process the ID scan from the PMS?
- Go the reservation where you would like to scan the document and click edit settings for the guest.
- Here the guest card will open up. In the top left corner, you will find the green "Import identity document" button. Click on it to open the drag and drop field.
- Please drag and drop the photo of the ID card / Passport to the field. Use .jpg or .png files.
- Click upload
- After that the processing is started automatically and the information which could be read from the document are added to the guest card without further steps.
- Review the scanned information and save the details.
- If the document has another page, repeat the process from the start.
Alternatively you can use a photo editor app to join the two sided document into one file. This way the two sides are processed at once.
