Service fee

You may have some services in your property which contain service fee. With the help of this article, you will learn how to apply service fee on your services in SabeeApp.

First of all, you have to create the service fee in Settings/Services/Service fee list menu.

Here you can configure the service fee, which you can assign to your services later on.

1. Name your service fee first. If you are using the software or issue invoices in multile languages please give the translation for the relevant langauges as well.

2. Select price type: It can be Fixed price or Percentage based.

3. Price value: It will be the value of the fixed amount or the percentage.

4. Calculation type: Inclusive or Exclusive. If you select inclusive, then the service fee will be deducted from the serivce price. If you select the exclusive, we will add the service fee price on top of the service price.

After this step, you have to go to the Settings / Services menu and open the service's page on what you wish to apply the service fee and select the appropriate fee from the list.

The service fee will be calculated in the same way as the original service is set.

Once you add or receive a reservation with a compulsory service which has a service fee, it will be visible on the folio section of the reservation page.

When you are issuing an invoice the service fee will be a separate item depending on the original service is included in the price or not. If it's included, only an accommodation item will be on the invoice and the service fee is included.

But if it's not included in the price, the service fee will be a separate item on the invoice and will be calculated on the top of the accommodation price. 

Important notes:

• There is no limitation of how many service fee you can add in the system.
• Only one service fee can be associated with a service
• In case a percentage based service, you can apply fixed price typed service fees only.
• If you delete the service on the reservation page which has a service fee, the service fee won't be deleted. In such a case, you have to delete the service fee as well.
• If you delete a service fee on the reservation page which is associated with a service, the service won't be deleted. In such a case, you have to delete the service as well.
• The service fee inherits the VAT of the service.
